How do I view and update my submitted application?

Instructions to view/edit your application, and who to contact for the status of your application processing.



How to view or update your submitted application

You can access your submitted application via the Application Status page. This is accessible via the link emailed to you in your application submitted confirmation email. The button looks like this:

1.  You can make any needed updates to your application without having to repay. On the Application Status page, click on View/Edit Application

 

2. This will take you to the application View page. From here, you can review your submitted application and reports. Click on each section to review using the navigation buttons on the left. 



3.  To edit your application, click on < Back to Applications in the top left of the View page. On your dashboard, you'll see an Edit button that will take you back into your application to make changes. 



4.  Use the Continue button to navigate to the section you need to update, and edit your information. Once complete, make sure you proceed to the end to the Authorization section and click on Update Application to save your edits!

5.  Next, you'll be taken back to your application Steps page. You will need to click on Submit Application again in order to fully submit your changes: 



An email will be automatically sent to the property representative letting them know you've made changes! You can return to the Application Status page from the link in your email for further review. 

 

Please note that if a decision has been made on your application, you'll see the status in your dashboard as Accepted or Rejected. This will lock your application and you will not be able to make additional changes. 

 

Troubleshooting

If you have trouble accessing your application via the link emailed to you, or have not received the email with the link at all, you can also take these steps to access your account and application:  

  1. Enter your email address on the Forgot Password page to generate a an email with a link for you to set a password: https://rentapplication.net/password_reset 
  2. Click here to login in:   https://www.rentapplication.net/login/

What is the status of my submitted application?

Rent Application provides rental application software to landlords, property managers, and real estate agents.  We are not involved in evaluating the application or making any decisions, and we don't have any information about the status or decision-making process.

For any questions about the status of your application, you'll need to contact the landlord or company directly.

You can so this from your application status page- the link to access that page is in the confirmation email sent to you after you applied. 

The best way to do that is to use the contact information for whoever sent you the link to apply.  If you still have the application link, the landlord or property manager's contact info may be listed on the application page.
