Our report processors require a valid name, date of birth, Social Security Number (SSN) and U.S. street address in order to run Credit, Criminal, or Eviction reports.
There is a checkbox on the application form for applicants to indicate if they do not have an SSN. Alternatively, they can enter 999-99-9999 or if they have one, a valid ITIN number.
While applicants are not likely to have a robust credit history if they do not have an SSN, other types of tradelines may return, such as car or other installment loans. It is possible that the reports may not return a credit score, especially if the applicant has not lived in the U.S. for very long.
Even if the reports return with no information, the application will still be made available to the property representative.
